This has become my go to “treat myself” spot. The bartenders are always so knowledgeable and make a perfect dirty martini. My tried and true orders are the roasted chicken, mussels, or escargot. All absolutely phenomenal.
Best steak I had had in a long time . I got the Rockefeller cheese sauce steak. It was delicious. We also ordered chicken with mash potatoes, a Luc’s burger for the burger lover teen I have and Steak tartar for the raw food lover other teen. Everything was delicious. The service was great and the environment so good that we decided to go for a small dessert and a nice cup of grand marnier to close the meal.
2nd time I've been here and I wish I lived closer. The food and service are outstanding. I was lucky enough to have experienced the food in France, but with Luc's you only need to travel to Ridgefield to taste the same level of flavors. Absolutely recommend!
I've been wanting to go here for a long time. I'm so happy I did! The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is divine and the service is great. The quality of the food is definitely high, so it's worth every penny. This may sound funny, but if you get anything, order the Yukon Gold mashed potatoes. They were the fluffiest I've ever had. I would go back there just for that! The French onion soup was definitely one of the best I've had. My mom had their soup of the day which was carrot ginger and she loved it.
Luc's is my absolute favorite restaurant for quite some time now; the food is always delicious and I've never had a bite that was less than perfect and I really mean that. The atmosphere is phenomenal, perfect lighting, romantic, cozy, authentic historical building, with stone walls, very clean, absolutely a wonderful experience. The service is always excellent, very kind and thoughtful staff. We usually make our reservations weeks in advance because it's a destination, Ridgefield is a wonderful town full of interesting, independently owned boutiques and Luc's is in my opinion the crown jewel of Ridgefield's amazing dining scene. 12/2025 we didn't have a reservation but we went earlier and got a great table, and experienced a Luc's night out which always means friendly but impeccable service, phenomenal food, a festive environment and after all these years Luc's is still my favorite. The couple I brought had a wonderful time and can't wait to return. I got the Tuna Tartare which I often get, it's out of this world and they have a separate gluten free fryer for their home made potato chips and french fries. I also got another favorite the Steak Frites with the gorgonzola sauce which was phenomenal and cooked to perfection and so delicious. Whenever I go someone always gets the escargot which they are famous for. And the crispy Duck is another favorite.
Solid spot, enjoyed our dinner date. Positives: excellent service and ambience, the staff were awesome, Sarah was a great waitress. The decor and outdoor space was really well done and reminded me of being in Paris. Enjoyed the escargot and cote du Rhône wine was delicious Negatives: some of the food could have been better. The bread was a little stale, I would expect a fresh warm baguette. Tomato salad special was not fresh, duck confit was well crisped but dry. This place has a lot of potential, and I really wanted to give five stars. It’s getting lots of points for the ambience and service, but some of the food could have been better. My wife loved the salmon. Will come back again to try lunch.
Exceptional experience. Felt like I was transported to a classic French restaurant hidden down a side street in Paris. We were served fresh homemade butter and bread to start off with, followed by some lovely foie gras and garlicky, buttery, delectable escargot. My main course was the Sole Meunière which was particularly delicious, light, and filling, followed by their crêpe du jour which was topped with strawberries. An excellent meal in an excellent atmosphere with excellent service. A hidden gem in the heart of Ridgefield!
